What we collect
When you use the contact form on this website we collect the name, company name, email address, phone number and message you enter. Company name and phone number are optional.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use these details for one purpose only: to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to take steps towards entering into an agreement with you. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries). We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.
Who else processes your data
Submissions from the contact form are handled by Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, which is based in India. Under a data processing agreement with us, they receive your message, filter it for spam and forward it to our mailbox, and they retain submission data for up to three years.
Their infrastructure is provided by Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Hetzner. Spam filtering is carried out by CleanTalk and Akismet, which receive the IP address and email address of the sender. Where your personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, that transfer takes place under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising scripts on this website.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months after our last contact with you. Where an enquiry leads to a business relationship, we keep the relevant records for as long as we do business together and for the seven-year statutory retention period that applies to business administration.
Business contact details of customers and suppliers are kept for as long as we do business together, and reviewed periodically after that.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@samaxmeattrading.com.
If you believe we handle your data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
